Read More	CARROLL STANLEY, ONCE OF HOLYOKE, DIES AT STERLING Carroll Stanley, 42, of Sterling, a former resident of this community, passed away Friday morning in a Sterling hospital after being injured in an accident early Monday morning of last week at his farm 7 miles northeast of Sterling. Mr. Stanley was injured in some unexplained way, possibly being kicked by a cow, it was reported. He was doing chores, authorities state, and went into the barn and prepared his cattle for milking. His wife entered the barn later, and as she came in, Mr. Stanley collapsed. A bump was noticed on his head, according to the report, and he was rushed to the hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Assembly of God church in Sterling, with Rev. James A. Call officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park. Carroll Stanley, a son of Clarence M. and Mona Barkey Stanley, was born near Haxtun on January 1, 1918. He lived in the Haxtun community for a number of years before moving to the Holyoke area. He was united in marriage at Imperial with Julie Owens, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Owens, on March 4, 1941. They moved to Sterling in 1957. Mr. Stanley was a member of the Assembly of God church. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Ronald, now serving in the Navy, and Vaden Roy and Richard, both of Sterling; one daughter, Caroline, of Sterling; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. Stanley, Fort Morgan; three brothers, Gilbert, Osceola, Missouri, Delmar of California, and Dale; five sisters, Mrs. Vivian Keech, California, Mrs. Wilma Brown, Otis, Beulah (Mrs. Robert) Owens, Holyoke, and Mrs. Virginia Scheneman and Mrs. Lauraine Troyer, both of Fort Morgan.
