He was born in Ohio on Sept 12, 1881, and had been a resident at Story County for 70 years. He was married to Lois Winifred Fantz on June 23, 1909 at Nevada. He is also survived by two brothers, Clifton, of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Dwight of Brookings, S. Dak.; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Cook of Des Moines and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, and his wife, who died in 1927. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with burial at the Nevada Cemetery. The Rev. Frank Hladky will officiate.
