He was a born again Christian, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F. & AM., a Shriner, member of Campbell County Scottish Rite and Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, member of the Shriner's Clown Corps, a retired building contractor, served many years on the Campbell County School Board, was a delegate for two years on the Credentials Committee for the Tennessee School Board Association. He was... Read More	Casper "Buck" Violet, age 75 of LaFollette, passed away Feb. 12 at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of Campbell County. He was a born again Christian, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F. & AM., a Shriner, member of Campbell County Scottish Rite and Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, member of the Shriner's Clown Corps, a retired building contractor, served many years on the Campbell County School Board, was a delegate for two years on the Credentials Committee for the Tennessee School Board Association. He was on the LaFollette Planning Commission, was an avid sports fan and supporter and sponsored the Buckaroos ball team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Agnes Miller Violet and two infant sisters. He is survived by his wife, Billie J. Violet; children, Steve Violet and wife, Lee, Brenda Violet, and Linda Campbell and husband, Keith all of LaFollette; grandchildren, Olivia, Alexis, and Jordan Violet; brother, Fred Violet and wife, Viola of LaFollette, sisters, Cloeva Kitts and husband, R. L., Callie Bielski and husband, Benny all of LaFollette, Jackie Skowron of Detroit, MI, Delphine Claxton of Dalton, GA; special niece, Stephanie Bice of LaFollette, special nephew, Danny Claxton of Eagan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral and Masonic services were held Feb. 14 in the Walters Chapel with the Rev. Earl Chapman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for graveside services and interment at 11 a.m. Masonic services were conducted by the Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F & AM. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
