Description	:	The Morning Sun News-Herald Passing of Former Resident of Morning Sun. Mrs. Cassie Orr-Marshall, at one time a resident of Morning Sun, died at the Old Soldiers' Home in Quincy, Illinois, where she had been the past four years, on Monday, October 1st (1923), following a brief illness, the direct cause of her death being apoplexy. The remains were brought to Morning Sun Wednesday afternoon, and the interment made at Elmwood cemetery, preceded by a brief service conducted by Dr. W. P. Nicholas. The body was accompanied here by Bertis O. Marshall of Monmouth, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. M. Marshall and daughter of West Burlington. Cassie Orr was born February 19, 1845, near College Corner, Ohio, and was a daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Orr. She came to Morning Sun, Iowa, with her parents when a small child. She was married to Wm. Marshall of this community, February 17, 1880. They lived here for a number of years, moving to Monmouth in 1894. Mr. Marshall died in May 1903. The deceased united with the United Presbyterian church in childhood, and at the time of her death was a member of the Second U. P. church of Monmouth, Illinois. She leaves to mourn her death one son, Bertis O. Marshall of Monmouth, and four stepchildren, Mrs. J. G. Gregory of this city, Mrs. Laura Wheat of Fairview, Illinois, Chas. M. Marshall of West Burlington, and Roy Marshall of Washington, D. C., also one brother, Samuel Y. Orr of Ft. Morgan, Colorado.
