Description	:	Mrs. Edward Makins Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Edward Makins (Catherine C. McNamee-Makins), 87, in St. Margaret's hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Mrs. Makins lived on west Fifth street in Abilene for many years until five years ago when she went to Texas because of failing health. Makins, of Selah, Washington; and Dr. James Makins, of Port Arthur, Texas; and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Gribben, of Marienthal, Kansas. Her husband preceded her in death seven years ago. The body, accompanied by Dr. James Makins, is expected to arrive here today and well probably lie in state at the F.C. Makins home, north of Abilene, on Thursday. It will be taken to the Eicholtz Funeral home upon arrival. Funeral services will be held on ..... and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Edward Makins Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Makins, who passed away Monday night in Port Arthur, Texas, were held yesterday morning at St. Andrew's Catholic church with Rev. Fr. C.J. Roche officiating. Many relatives and friends were in attendance to pay final tribute to a loved woman. Relatives from out-of-town who returned to their homes yesterday after the services included Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Makins and Mrs. John Martin of Oklahoma City; Dr. James Makins and small son. James of Port Arthur, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Makins and son. Don, of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. H Makins, Mrs. Anna Gribben and Mr. Raymond Gribben of Concordia; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gribben of Leoti; and Alfred Makins, who is in K.S.C. at Manhattan. Others here yesterday morning for the rites were Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Kelley, Mrs. William Srack, Tom Riordan and A.J. Berrigan, all of Solomon. Miss Ann Berrigan, Miss Marguerite Kelley and William Kelley were here Wednesday evening from Salina, called by the death. Her nickname "Cassie"
