Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth (sp) Koons, 86 who died at her home, 124 S Ash St., at 7:30 AM Tuesday, will be held Monday at 2 PM from the Traul funeral Chapel. The Rev. Melvin Lundeen of the First Lutheran Church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery. Mrs. Koons was born July 19, 1860 near Dudley, Iowa, eldest daughter of G. W. and M. C. Stevens. She was married to W. W. Rapp February 9, 1881. He died in 1918. She was married to F. L. Koons of Swea City, Iowa, July 5, 1927. He preceded her in death also as did her parents and five brothers. Surviving are a sister Mrs. F. L. Canfield and a brother, Lawrence Stevens, both of Ottumwa. Pallbearers will be R. F. Canfield and Walter Freed of Des Moines, John Cooper and Will Momyer Knoxville, and John VanRees and Gerald Seaburg of Ottumwa.
