Description	:	Catherine was a pretty woman with dark wavy hair, gray-green eyes, fair skin, pretty teeth and just pleasingly plump, medium of height. She was a gentle woman with a fine sense of humor and a kind word for everyone. Catherine was the second wife of Thomas Turner and sister to his first wife, Elizabeth. She helped her mother care for Francis Olivia (Fannie) after Elizabeth's death while Thomas made a trip west to Kansas with a friend. On his return, they were married in Baltimore. She was a gentle woman with a fine sense of humor and a kind word for everyone. Catherine was the second wife of Thomas Turner and sister to his first wife, Elizabeth. She helped her mother care for Francis Olivia (Fannie) after Elizabeth's death while Thomas made a trip west to Kansas with a friend. On his return, they were married in Baltimore. They were both members of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Catherine took an active part in many of its works. Her favorite pew was the first in front on the right side. After the death of her husband, Thomas, she made her home with her son Albert Price and his family on the Thomas Turner home place "Fair Oaks" where she died. As a widow she made trips by train to visit her sons John and Howard and their families in Illinois. Deeds for land sales and land bought as well as the wills of Thomas and Catherine are registered at Bel Air Courthouse, Harford Co., MD One record in particular of land sold in 1899 described the land measure in perches which was an old English term. 1 perch = 16.5 feet. Thomas was a carpenter by trade as well as a grain crop farmer. His ledger book is a prized item by one of his sons. Thomas served with the Pernell Legion of Maryland during the Civil War.
