Miller of Millerton, died very suddenly Monday afternoon, while hanging out clothes. She got up in the morning as well as usual, did her washing before noon and then ate her dinner. A son, who was in the house by the window, saw his mother fall and went immediately to her, but too late, she had expired. Mrs. Miller was a highly respected lady, her husband who died two or three years ago, having been one of the most prominent citizens in that section, he having contributed the greater part of the funds to build the Lutheran church at Surprise. The funeral of Mrs. Miller was held at the family residence yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Miller was an aunt of Mrs. Carl Jungerman. ````````````````````````` Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), December 2, 1898, p. 4, col. 2 Mrs. W. P. Miller, aged 57 years died very suddenly at her home at Millerton, Monday afternoon about 3 o'clock, while engaged in her household duties. She was out in the yard, hanging clothes on a line when she dropped dead. Deceased was the stepmother of John M. Miller of this city, and Dr. Joseph Miller of Gering, Nebr. The funeral was held at the residence in Millerton, yesterday morning at 10:30, services conducted by Rev. Lentz, assisted by Rev. Jones, both of Rising City. The remains were laid to rest beside those of the husband, who died several years ago, in the Armagost family burial ground not far from Millerton.
