Description	:	Scallan family Bible says that Catherine/Kate was born on 2 Aug 1835. However, her baptism record is missing from Our Lady's Island parish registers, and so can not corroborate it. But baptism records for her siblings are NOT missing and they do corroborate all the sibling birth dates that came from that family Bible. Kate's brother Thomas was baptized in Jan 1840 and the 1856 Iowa census lists Kate as being 4 years older than Thomas (it correctly lists Thomas as 16 yrs old at the time).
