Description	:	Mrs. Catherine Voss, nee Tiddens, was called to her eternal reward on Tuesday, March 28th, 1916, at an age of 74 years, two months months and 25 days. Deceased was born on January 3rd, 1842, in Germany and was there united in marriage to Albert Voss, in 1864. To this union were born twelve children, five boys and seven girls, of which number one son and one daughter died in infancy. Read More	Mrs. Catherine Voss, nee Tiddens, was called to her eternal reward on Tuesday, March 28th, 1916, at an age of 74 years, two months months and 25 days. Deceased was born on January 3rd, 1842, in Germany and was there united in marriage to Albert Voss, in 1864. To this union were born twelve children, five boys and seven girls, of which number one son and one daughter died in infancy. In 1864, the family moved to this country and made their home upon a farm near German Valley, Illinois. In 1869, they moved to Grundy County, Iowa, and in 1895, came to Lyon County, moving to Little Rock twelve years ago to spend the last days of a well-earned rest. Mrs. Voss was a faithful wife, a loving mother and an earnest Christian, she being a member of the Reformed Church of this place. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 31st, from the Reformed Church in both German and English, by her pastor, Rev. E. Aeilts, who preached in German, using for his text, Revelation 21:4: "And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes." In English, Rev. Aeilts used for his text Amos 4:12: "Prepare to Meet Thy God." Deceased leaves to mourn her death, her husband, four sons, six daughters, sixty-three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, and many other relatives besides a host of friends. The children are as follows: Hibertur, Bigelow; Rebeka, now Mrs. Ben Voss, of Little Rock, Siebrand Voss, of Bigelow; Magneth, now Mrs. Harm Peters, of Little Rock; Ida, now Mrs. John Peters, of Rushmore; Temma Voss, of Bigelow; Nannie, now Mrs. Tom Kruse, of Little Rock; Fannie, now Mrs. J. Janssen, of Sibley, Herman and Bertha Voss, of Little Rock. The German Ladies' Aid Society, for which Mrs. Voss had been a member ever since its organization, attended the funeral in a body and showed their high esteem for their departed sister in a beautiful floral wreath. The funeral of Mrs. Voss was one of the largest attended ever held in Little Rock and after the services at the church, the remains were laid to rest in the family lot at the local cemetery. The bereaved husband, children and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow.
