Description	:	Catherine D. Sandifer, 90, of Florence died June 18, 2018. Miss Sandifer was born in Florence County and lived her entire life on the same farm she was born on. She was the daughter of the late Charles Hightower and Lena Irene Zehe Sandifer. Catherine divided her time between church, family and work. She was a charter member of the First Southern Methodist Church in Florence and active member of the Florence Southern Methodist Church until her death. She taught Sunday School for many years and worked with the Epworth League youth group. Catherine... Read More	Catherine D. Sandifer, 90, of Florence died June 18, 2018. Miss Sandifer was born in Florence County and lived her entire life on the same farm she was born on. She was the daughter of the late Charles Hightower and Lena Irene Zehe Sandifer. Catherine divided her time between church, family and work. She was a charter member of the First Southern Methodist Church in Florence and active member of the Florence Southern Methodist Church until her death. She taught Sunday School for many years and worked with the Epworth League youth group. Catherine lived her entire life close to her family. She and her sister, Sara, (who died a few years ago) lived together all their lives. The two were affectionally known to family as "Aunt Noot" and "Aunt Tot". Catherine was "Aunt Noot". Her brothers and sisters, who lived close by, shared their children with her and she loved them all dearly. She was the family photographer, having captured and photographed every family event for two generations. She loved to do needlework and her creations were divided among her family. She remembered birthdays with a card and was quick to send a note thanking you for any act of kindness. Catherine worked for many years at Aiken Loan and Security that later became Fleet Funding. After retirement she devoted the rest of her life to her church and her family. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, C.H. Sandifer, III, William Ross Sandifer, Donald McNeil Sandifer, Francis Earl Sandifer, Robert Lowry Sandifer, Sarah Eugenia Sandifer, Mary Alice Sandifer Webber, and Philip Randolph Sandifer.
