On September 13, 1942, she married Doyle E. Schmidt who passed away in 2005. She was a member of the Hudson United Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School, among her other duties. She is survived by her three children; 42 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and two sisters. Her husband, parents, and brother, Charles Buss preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Friday, January 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Hudson United Brethren Church with Pastor Joshua Brown, a grandchild, and Pastor Craig Burkholder officiating. Interment will follow at Circle Cemetery near Hudson. Calling is Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Hudson United Brethren Church and/or the Auburn Nazarene Church.
