The bride has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Oxley for nearly two decades. She is a graduate of the Marion High School. Since her graduation she has been a popular clerk in the Martin dry goods store in Cedar Rapids. The groom is a private secretary in one of the Rock Island's superintendents in Davenport. Mr. and Mrs. White will make their home in that city. From KBehrens: Cora Shaffer married Lynne L White in 1911. I have been able to follow her and her husband through census records and such up to 1958 so far. Her husband died in Ohio where she possibly could be buried too. I know Oak Shade has a Cora Shaffer in this plot but I wonder if it is an error. Her mother Catherine "Kate" Tritle Shaffer died in 1893 in Marion and is buried in Marion according to Linn County records. Kate Shaffer may be the one actually buried there since her father and 2 sisters John Tritle, Susan and Anna Tritle are in the same section in in plots 2,3 and 4. Kate was my great, great aunt.
