Description	:	Mrs. Catherine Francis Crossan was born in Allamakee county, Iowa, January 25, 1857, and passed from her earthly home in Eldora to her Heavenly home June 9, 1923. she was married to Thomas Crossan, June 30, 1876, in Palo Alto county, Iowa. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Etta Rodd, Eldora, Mrs. Anna Whitwood, Polo, IIl., and Dr. Orville Crossan of Rockford, Ill. Practically all her married life was lived near or in Eldora. Read More	Mrs. Catherine Francis Crossan was born in Allamakee county, Iowa, January 25, 1857, and passed from her earthly home in Eldora to her Heavenly home June 9, 1923. she was married to Thomas Crossan, June 30, 1876, in Palo Alto county, Iowa. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Etta Rodd, Eldora, Mrs. Anna Whitwood, Polo, IIl., and Dr. Orville Crossan of Rockford, Ill. Practically all her married life was lived near or in Eldora. There survive to mourn her loss, her husband, Thomas Crossan; her children and five grandchildren, one brother, Peter Murray of Reliance, S. Dak., and many friends to cherish her memory. She was for many years a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and her life adorned its teachings. She exemplified the Christian virtues in every day living. Others found in her example and influence an incentive to Christ-like living. Her passing was in the triumph of a living faith. At the funeral services held last Sunday at the Methodist Episcopal church the following were present from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Whitwood of Polo, Ill.; Dr. and Mrs. Orville Crossan of Rockford, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Tom Murray and sons Andrew and Harold; and nieces, Mrs. Bvoskie and Mrs. Verniss, all of Claremont, Minn.; Mrs. Bell Travis of Marshalltown. The pastor, Rev. Roy Leslie Smith, preached the text, Titus, 2-10. "Adorning the doctrine of God in all things." Two comforting solos were sung by Mrs. Cora Hough, and Mrs. E. O.
