Read More	Columbus Republic 5 Sep 2010 Catherine Jurgemeyer Naples, Fla. Catherine (Gilbert) Jurgemeyer of Naples, Florida died Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the age of 90. She was born in Moline, Illinois, August 21, 1919, a daughter of Albert J. and Irma (Gibson) Gilbert. Mrs. Jurgemeyer graduated from the University of Northern Iowa where she received her teaching degree. Before her marriage to Donald G. Jurgemeyer, Catherine taught school and was a former Dean of Women at the University of Northern Iowa. Formerly of Columbus, Indiana, Mrs. Jurgemeyer had lived in Naples since 2001. While residing in Columbus since 1952, she was active in community affairs and charities including the Columbus School Foundation, Asbury Methodist Church, American Lawyers Auxiliary and PEO. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy J. (Marcel) Haar of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, Clark Jurgemeyer of Vancouver, Washington; and sister, Mrs. Charlene O. Muir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Gilbert; and by her beloved husband of more than 62 years, Donald G. Jurgemeyer. A funeral service conducted by her nephew, the Rev. Fred Muir, was held on Friday, August 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples. Private burial will take place at Clifton Cemetery in Auburn, Nebraska. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heritage Fund, The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, 583 Franklin Street, Columbus, IN 47201.
