Read More	Cascade Pioneer, August 30, 1928, page 1, column 3 Mrs. Catherine Henneberry Venerable and Respected Woman Receives Final Summons Death claimed one of the most respected women of this locality when Mrs. Catherine Henneberry died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John McLees, of Cascade, at an early hour Friday morning, August 24th. Mrs. Henneberry was paying a short visit to her daughter and family when stricken with the illness that caused her death. Deceased was born in Praire Creek township, Dubuque county, Iowa, July 24th, 1857, and was a daughter of Patrick and Johanna Hannifin [s/b Hannifan]. With her parents she removed to Pottawattamie county, near Council Bluffs and after a few years she was married in 1882 to John Henneberry and returned to this section and lived upon the farm near Bernard. August 12, 1895 she was called upon to mourn the death of her husband and with a family of growing children faced the problem of the conduct of the farm - this she did with unusual business acumen and was considered a fine business woman. A few years ago she turned the over the management of the farm to her son, Vincent. Mrs. Henneberry was a kind neighbor, a faithful friend, a loyal Catholic, and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by five daughters and one son, Miss Mayme Henneberry at home; Mrs. James Kedley of Monmouth, Iowa; Mrs. John McLees of Cascade; Mrs. James J. Houlihan of Manchester; and Mrs. Albert Stickley of Bernard; Vincent Henneberry at home. This aged woman suffered two poignant griefs this past year on of which was the accidental death of her sister Mrs. John O'Connell of Underwood, Iowa on May 8th, quickly followed by the death on May 13th of her daughter Mrs. Earl McLees. Both of these summary occurrences were a great shock to her.
