Description	:	"Catherine Hershberger died single in early life, age seventeen years. There seem to have been no record of her birth of death recorded, that the writer could find; but we were informed by a sister of hers in our boyhood that her death resulted from jumping from the top of an old time rail fence, thereby bursting a blood vessel and leading to her death a few months later. We are told she jumped in celebration of the coming wedding of her sister while they were gathering vegetables for the occasion. Her grave is yet visible where she is buried... Read More	"Catherine Hershberger died single in early life, age seventeen years. Her grave is yet visible where she is buried on the homeplace, now over one hundred years past. At the time of the death of this young woman her mother was engaged in the domestic affairs around the home and requested her "not to fade away and let us know it!" After she left her she heard a light rap on a chest that was near, and on rushing to her bedside found her passing away. This was related to me by my mother a number of years ago, and was handed down to the family connections by the young woman's mother, who was alone with her at the time."
