Description	:	The Eldon Advertiser, December 31, 1931 Mrs. Catherine Matheis, 78, mother of Dr. L.W. Matheis of Eldon, died at her home in Enon at 9 o'clock Wednesday evening. Death was caused by pneumonia and a complication of diseases. Although she had been in ill health for some time, she was confined to her bed only two days. She was married Sept. 19, 1973 to Valentine Matheis, who died June 1, 1908. Ten Children were born to them, eight of whom, Dr. Matheis of Eldon, Henry of Hamshire, Tex., Albert, Fred, Webster, Arthur, Mrs. Delia Wiser and Aurelia, all of Enon, survive. Edward and Mrs. Rosetta Leslie are dead. A brother, Louis Hoffman of Commiskey, Ind., and many other relatives and friends also survive.
