Description	:	KEOSAUQUA-Catherine E. Clark, 86, died about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, which she had entered earlier in the day. She had been in ill health. She was the daughter of Samuel C. and Frances Potter Hogue, born March 22, 1882, near Keosauqua. She had lived her entire life in and near Keosauqua. Her marriage to Samuel M. Clark, 86, died about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, which she had entered earlier in the day. She had been in ill health. She was the daughter of Samuel C. and Frances Potter Hogue, born March 22, 1882, near Keosauqua. She had lived her entire life in and near Keosauqua. Her marriage to Samuel M. Clark took place March 22, 1905. He died in 1937. Sh e had taught in rural schools in Van Buren County. She was a member of the Methodist Church and had served as a member of the Board of Stewards and was financial secretary a number of years. She was also a member of Lynds Chapter 27, Order of Eastern Star, and of the local American Legion auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arnold J. Barker of Keosauqua and Mrs. Lester Bostock of Hamilton, Mo.; a son, Samuel M. Clark Jr. of El Paso, Tex.; a sister, Edna Logan of Keosauqua; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Keosauqua Methodist Church with the Rev. August V. Weigel officiating. Burial will be in Fellows.
