Description	:	Catherine N. Spangle, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at 2:30 a.m. at the home of her granddaughter in Huntington. She was born in Athens May 26, 1919, to Lewis and Myrl Lambert Shafer. She married Royal L. Spangle on Nov. 16, 1937. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1997. Mrs. Spangle was a 1937 graduate of Burket High School and a member of the Laketon Weslyan Church. She had worked at the former Huskie-Harlan Co. and the former G.C. Surviving are a son, Lester (Charlotte Sue) Spangle, of Silver Lake; a brother, Glen (Veda) Shafer, of Elkhart; a sister, Martha Hopkins, of Buchanan, MI;. two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Calling is Tuesday, July 14, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 St. Rd. 114W., North Manchester. Rev. Duane Cragun will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake. Memorials are to the Laketon Weslyan Church, PO Box 213, Laketon, IN 46943.
