Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Catherine Viola was born on May 2, 1943, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Wilma (Brown) Blosch. Cathy grew up in Steamboat Rock and graduated from high school, Class of 1961. She attended Iowa Beauty School. She married Larry D. Sease, on February 15, 1963. They lived in Des Moines before moving to Marshalltown. Cathy was a dedicated wife and mother. She also worked outside the home for a time at McDonalds and then as head housekeeper at AmericINN. Faith was very important to Cathy and she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, especially blankets for the family, playing Dominos and doing word searches. Cathy was feisty, outgoing, and could talk with anyone. Surviving are her husband Larry; her three sons, Bradley J. Sease of Marshalltown, David D. Sease of Marshalltown, and Gary A. (Michelle) Sease of Newton; grandchildren, Daniel Sease Lawless, Justin Sease, Luke Sease, Roxann Sease, Ahnel Sease, James Sease, April Sease, Sophia Sease, Brida Sease, Cadia Sease, Honey Sease, Jeremy Beason and David Beason; several great-grandchildren; her brother, George "Butch" (Ruth) Blosch; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Wilma; her brother, Harry Blosch and his wife, Wilma; her sister, Nancy Blosch Mitchell and her husband, Larry; and her birth-mother, Martha Louise DuBois.∼A funeral service for Catherine Viola Sease, 78, of Marshalltown was held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Hershberger officiating. Burial Steamboat Rock Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were April Sease, Danielle Lawless, Justin Sease, Luke Sease, Brida Sease, Cadeja Sease, Honey Sease, Jesus Sease, James Sease, David Benson, Jeremy Benson, Ahnel Sease, Sofia Sease and Roxann Sease.
