Description	:	Mrs. Cathinka Marie Larson was born in Christiania, Norway, Jan. 20th, 1841 and died at her home in Lake Preston, SD at 6:20 p.m. Friday evening, age 77 years, 10 months and 2 days. Cathinka's parents were Christian Dietrichs and Bergitte Aslaksen of Norway. Her parents died when she was an infant. On August 28, 1858 in Christiana, Norway, she was united in marriage to Severt H. Read More	Mrs. Cathinka Marie Larson was born in Christiania, Norway, Jan. 20th, 1841 and died at her home in Lake Preston, SD at 6:20 p.m. Friday evening, age 77 years, 10 months and 2 days. Cathinka's parents were Christian Dietrichs and Bergitte Aslaksen of Norway. Her parents died when she was an infant. On August 28, 1858 in Christiana, Norway, she was united in marriage to Severt H. Larson. For ten years they continued to reside in Norway, where four children were born, but one died in infancy. In 1868, the family came to America and located in Fillmore County, MN. From there they came to what is now Kingsbury County, SD and settled on a homestead northwest of Hetland, where they resided until 1900, when they erected a residence in Lake Preston and came here to take life easier. Mr. Larson died in 1902. Twelve children were born to the couple, ten of whom are living, and with the exception of Mrs. Agnes Torkildson, who was not able to make the trip, all visited her during her last sickness. The ten surviving children are Mrs. Anna Peterson of Arlington, L.J. Larson of Minneapolis, Ed and Henry of Lake Preston, Mrs. Hilda Hanson of Aberdeen, Emil J. of Arlington, G.F. of Douglas, ND, Mrs. Agnes Torkildson of Patch Grove, Sask., Canada, Mrs. Ida Ostroot of Groten, SD, and William C. of Lake Preston. Mrs. Larson was a faithful mother, a kind neighbor and true friend. The sincere sympathy of all acquaintances is extended the bereaved relatives. She was buried beside her husband in the Lake Preston Cemetery.
