Read More	Cathleen Elizabeth (Crom) Wiese, 79 September 8, 1935 ~ February 9, 2015 Cathleen Elizabeth was born to Elizabeth and Floyd Crom in Lyons, Nebraska. She grew up in several places in Burt and Washington Counties. After graduating from Tekamah High School in 1953, she attended Wayne State College and received her teaching certificate. She used her teaching ability, and taught at several one-room country schools in Burt and Washington Counties. During the summer of 1955, she met Melvin J. Wiese. After dating for 6 months, they became engaged at Christmas and were married June 3, 1956. The couple started their family in Tekamah, later moving to Irvington, Nebraska. In 1967, they moved to a new home in Bennington, and in 1976 moved to the acreage near Blair. As Melvin and Cathleen raised their family, they instilled good, happy Christian beliefs in their children, so that the children could take these with them on their own walks through life. Melvin and Cathleen made their church home at Country Bible near Blair, where they grew in their faith. They were active in Missions, and helped identify several full-time missionaries still supported by the church at large. Cathleen enjoyed caring for a variety of animals, and she also cultivated beautiful flower gardens. She was a kind woman. Cathleen Wiese went home to be with the LORD early Monday morning February 9, 2015. Please keep her family in your prayers. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin in 2007, son Garth David, sister Shirley McIntosh and brother Howard Crom. Left with memories are her children: Rodney (Joan) Wiese of Oakland, NE; Shawn Wiese of Nashville, TN; Luke (Phyllis) Wiese of Blair, NE; Elizabeth and friend Charles McCants of Franklin, TN; Caroline (Dan) Norton of Lyons, NE; sister Nancy Pelley of St. Louis, MO; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be in the Country Bible Church Fellowship Hall Tuesday evening February 10, 2015 from 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 am in the CBC Worship Center followed by lunch and fellowship with the family in the CBC Fellowship Hall. Pastor Glen Hudson will conduct the service and offer words of comfort. The songs will be "I'll Fly Away", "Amazing Grace" , "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art". Casket bearers are: Michael Wiese, Andrew Wiese, Michael Lewis, Victor McIntosh, Dave Wiese, and Steve Wiese. A private family burial will be later in the day, with graveside services at Tekamah Cemetery, Tekamah, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to Crowell Nursing Home in Blair, Nebraska.
