Cathryn was a devout Christian, and so we know she now lives for eternity with our Heavenly Father and Christ our Savior. In the last year, Cathryn’s faith only deepened, and her always positive and cheerful disposition and strength of character, despite physical pain and fatigue, serves as an example to all of us as to how one should pass through this mortal world. We are comforted in knowing that Cathryn’s soul is saved and she is now in a joyful place. Cathryn was born on Feb. 26, 1927, in Bismarck, N.D., and she graduated from St. Mary’s High School, also in Bismarck. On Jan. 21, 1950, Cathryn married Nolan T. Axford at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bismarck. Her spouse, Nolan, died Dec. 13, 1986, and he is buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Battle Creek. On Feb. 13, 1993, Cathryn married her second spouse, Marvin Kramer, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Battle Creek. Cathryn is preceded in death by her father, Steven Haider; her mother, Catherine (Thomas) Haider; her first spouse, Nolan Thurel Axford; her second spouse, Marvin Kramer; her sister, Florence (Haider) Hatzenbuhler; and her brother, John Haider. She is survived by her four sons and their spouses, Douglas and Diane Axford, Ed and Linda Axford, Steve and Vicki Axford and Joe Axford and Elise Phan; three stepchildren and their spouses, Steve and Tami (Kramer) Otjen, Terry and Tracy (Kramer) Stoural, Troy and Lisa Kramer; six grandchildren, Clint Axford, Alisa (Axford) Harris, Jedd Axford, Ryan Axford, Gage Axford and Avery Axford; four siblings, Ray Haider, Leonard Haider, Anne (Haider) Hatzenbuhler and Robert Haider; and a host of beloved great-grandchildren.
