Description	:	Cathy Louise Hafer Anido, age 55, passed from this life into her eternal peace with her Savior on Thursday, January 15, 2009, after a long, hard fought battle with Cancer. She was born October 2, 1953, in Gallia County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Hafer, brother, Eugene “Buzz” Hafer, and an infant brother, Joseph. Cathy was a long-time member of the Savageville United Methodist Church. She had been active in 4-H with the Woodsy Owls, a frequent volunteer at Jackson Elementary School; but, above all, Cathy was a wife and mother, friend to all. She spent her... She was born October 2, 1953, in Gallia County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Hafer, brother, Eugene “Buzz” Hafer, and an infant brother, Joseph. Cathy was a long-time member of the Savageville United Methodist Church. She had been active in 4-H with the Woodsy Owls, a frequent volunteer at Jackson Elementary School; but, above all, Cathy was a wife and mother, friend to all. She spent her life in service to others and always had a friendly word and a smile for those she met. She is survived by the love of her life, Rev. Jorge Anido, whom she married Dec. 29, 1979; her mother, Louise Hafer, a son, Jorge Anido, Jr., a daughter, Maria Anido; two brothers, Frank Hafer of Jackson and Mike Hafer of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. with the Reverend James Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Limerick Cemetery. Published in the Jackson County Daily, January 15, 2009.
