Cecil was associated with Poland's Supermarket and Farm Fresh and retired from Winn-Dixie as a butcher. Cecil was a member and deacon at Union Baptist Church. He retired from Dow Badische Company as Supervisor after 30 plus years. Cecil was associated with Poland's Supermarket and Farm Fresh and retired from Winn-Dixie as a butcher. He had a passion for nature and loved to be outdoors whenever possible, mowing grass, fishing or playing golf. Cecil was a faithful reader of the Bible applying this to the way he lived his life. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, loving his family more than life itself and would do anything for them. He will be missed by his family and many friends. His parents, Kelley Crump and Ruth Crump Caldwell and granddaughter, Kelley Busch preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Evelyn Crump; daughters, Cynthia Marie Thrift and husband Mark, Sharon McFarland and husband Brian and Kimberly McGuire and husband Joe; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and faithful canine companions, Chico and Diamond. Graveside funeral service officiated by Reverend Richard Whiteheart will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Gloucester Point Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 1, 2013 from 7 until 8:00 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
