He was a member of Beech United Methodist Church near Arnoldsburg, and a member of the Minnora Odd Fellows Lodge. He was a retired oil field driller and farmer. Surviving: wife, Mrs. Goldie Smith Jarvis; son, Ray of Culloden; daughter, Mrs. Gladys Moore of Millwood; sister, Mrs. Muriel Starcher of Minnora; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beech United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Pringle officiating....
