Cecil Edward Leeps, Jr., son of Cecil Leeps and Oma Arnold Leeps, was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Osceola and died Nov. 16, 2000, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was 69. He grew up and attended schools in Clarke County. Mr. Leeps served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Cecil Edward Leeps, Jr., son of Cecil Leeps and Oma Arnold Leeps, was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Osceola and died Nov. 16, 2000, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was 69. He grew up and attended schools in Clarke County. Mr. Leeps served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married in 1955, and became the father of four sons, Michael, Steven, Douglas and David. He was later divorced. He lived in Des Moines and retired from Fawn Engineering in 1994. He liked to hunt and fish in his spare time. Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepfather, Earl Page; a brother Homer Leeps in infancy; a brother, Jerry Leeps and a sister Kaye Page. In addition to his four sons, Mr. Leeps is survived by two brothers, Herbert Arnold and his wife, Mary Ann Arnold, of Des Moines, Larry Page and his wife, Shirley Page of Milo; a sister, Shirley Flowers and her husband, Joe Flowers, of Garden Grove; a sister-in-law, Maxine Leeps of North Carolina and an aunt, Eva Jane Mongar of Osceola; other relatives and friends. His body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
