Description	:	Cecil Harold Brady was born on July 29, 1925, in Rural Greeley, the son of Abram and Mona (Krueger) Brady. He was raised in the area, and attended Kennedy Rural School. Cecil served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After completing his military duty, he returned to Greeley and was employed at Dubuque Meat Packing Plant and operated the tavern in 1949. Cecil died at the Edgewood Convalescent Home on Monday, February 25, 2008, following an extended illness. He was eighty-two years of age. Cecil was mayor and city council member of Greeley for thirty-eight years; volunteer fireman for forty years; long-time member of the Methodist Church; and a member of the American Legion for sixty-one years.
