Description	:	Cecil `Red' Winburn CONWAY -- Cecil M. ``Red'' Winburn Sr., 76, of the Bucksville community of Horry County, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at Conway Nursing Center after an illness. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late George and Mattie Griggs Winburn. Mr. Winburn worked with the Civil Service at the Charleston Naval Shipyard during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a retired farmer. Read More	Cecil `Red' Winburn CONWAY -- Cecil M. ``Red'' Winburn Sr., 76, of the Bucksville community of Horry County, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at Conway Nursing Center after an illness. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late George and Mattie Griggs Winburn. Mr. Winburn worked with the Civil Service at the Charleston Naval Shipyard during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the University Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen Cole Winburn; two sons, C.M. Winburn Jr. and Lance Winburn, both of Conway; four daughters, Pam King and Melba Taylor, both of Georgetown, Janet Elton of Conway and Mona Floyd of Garden City Beach; a brother, J.C. Winburn of Conway; four sisters, Vera Johnson and Irene Lambert, both of Conway, Mildred Floyd of Mullins and Elizabeth Frye of Aynor; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will in PauleySwamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to University Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 638, Conway 29528.
