Description	:	Cecil Raiford Walker was born on April 23, 1923 in DeRidder, LA to James H. and Stella Cryer Walker. He departed this life in his home, with his family at his side, on September 13, 2014 at 2:55pm to be with his Lord and Savior for evermore. Cecil was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Langton Walker in 2000 and Zola Young Walker in 2012. He is survived by two daughters; brother of Anacoco; three sisters of Anacoco; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren Cecil proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II and he also... Read More	Cecil Raiford Walker was born on April 23, 1923 in DeRidder, LA to James H. and Stella Cryer Walker. He departed this life in his home, with his family at his side, on September 13, 2014 at 2:55pm to be with his Lord and Savior for evermore. Cecil was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Langton Walker in 2000 and Zola Young Walker in 2012. He is survived by two daughters; brother of Anacoco; three sisters of Anacoco; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren Cecil proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II and he also served two terms as Post Commander for the VFW at Toledo Bend, TX. He was a printer by trade for 35 years. He will always be remembered by the wonderful poems he so lovingly wrote for his family and friends over the years, and his gentle caring presence in this life. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 17th at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, Brother Truman Keel Officiated. The burial followed in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco.
