CECIL was born September 12, 1930 at home in Greene County to parents, William and Lulu {WEIRICK} REMSBURG. CECIL graduated from Lanesboro High School, Lanesboro, Iowa, in 1947. On December 29, 1950, CECIL was married to Phyllis BURLEY. CECIL worked with his son, Mark as a farmer for nearly 40 years; he also enjoyed woodworking and used his skills at Kountry Krafts and Blair's Artistic Designs. He also worked at Lampe Funeral Home and Hobart Seed, and Farmer's Co-op of Lake City, Iowa. CECIL was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City, Iowa, and served on the boards of Farmers Co-op of Lake City, Iowa, and Farmers Home Administration Board. CECIL IS SURVIVED BY: his wife, Phyllis Remsburg of Lake City, Iowa; sons, Mike REMSBURG of Churdan, Iowa; Mark (Sheila) REMSBURG of Lake City, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Dawn REMSBURG, of Ames, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) BISHOP; Heather (Guthrey) FRITZ; Kelly (Brian) WENTZEL; Holly (Joe) COPPOLA; Jonathan (Kim) REMSBURG; Jeffrey REMSBURG; six great-granddaughters, Grace and Maya FFRITZ; Caitlin and Macy BISHOP; Talia WENTZEL; Reagan REMSBURG; two great-grandsons, Joey and Maddox Cecil COPPOLA. Also surviving CECIL is a brother, Don REMSBURG, of Lake City, Iowa; and sister, Naomi STREETER, of Lanesboro, Iowa. CECIL WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: his parents; son, Kim REMSBURG; siblings, June LASHER; Warren REMSBURG; Dale REMSBURG; Wilma HOPKINS; Deane REMSBURG; and Helen CHEVALIER.
