Description	:	Mrs. Cecile A. (Dubuc) Hamel, 85, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following an illness. She was born in Berlin on April 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Hubert and Antoinette (Roger) Dubuc. She attended local schools, and was a 1940 graduate of Berlin High School. (Dubuc) Hamel, 85, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following an illness. She was born in Berlin on April 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Hubert and Antoinette (Roger) Dubuc. She attended local schools, and was a 1940 graduate of Berlin High School. Following her graduation, Cecile moved to Washington, D.C., where she spent five years working for the government. She moved back to Berlin, and was married to Lawrence H. Hamel on June 2, 1947. Cecile worked all of her life and spent many years at the State of N.H. Department of Employment. She enjoyed traveling, and visited many areas with her husband, including Alaska, the Grand Canyon, Puerto Rico and Canada. She had also traveled to France. Cecile was very devout and was longtime communicant of the former Guardian Angel Parish. She had also been a member of the Dames de St. Anne. She loved to send cards to her family for all occasions. She never forgot any of their birthdays or special days. She loved her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Roger L. Hamel and his wife, Marlene Gazda of Exeter; her daughter, Helen Couture of Milan; a brother, William Dubuc of Berlin and her sisters, Yvonne Tremaine of Berlin and Terese LaPointe of Florida. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Mark, Kelly and Lori and her four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Lawrence Hamel on Sept. 14, 2007. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday, Dec. 27 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin, using the School Street entrance. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., in Berlin. Interment will immediately follow the services in St. Anne Cemetery, Hutchins Street in Berlin. Those wishing to make donations in Cecile's memory may do so to the Good Shepherd Memorial Fund, 151 Emery Street, Berlin, NH 03570. Published in Fosters from December 27 to December 28, 2007
