She was born May 5, 1925 in Horry County S.C. to the late Henry T. Cartrette and Tee R. Dudley Cartrette. Educated in Horry County public schools, she began her career at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. A dedicated mother of two, a grandmother, as well as a great-grandmother. She meant so much to so many people, she will forever be loved, cherished, and missed by everyone who's life she touched. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam Cartrette, HT Cartrette and Dargan Cartrette; one sister, Mildred C. Graham and one very special Aunt, Estaleen Johnson.
