She was born on Jan. 28, 1912, in Waterville, the daughter of the late Albert and Maria (Rodriguez) Fortin. She was 93 years of age. She was educated in Waterville schools and was employed by Lockwood Mills and Hathaway. She was born on Jan. 28, 1912, in Waterville, the daughter of the late Albert and Maria (Rodriguez) Fortin. She was 93 years of age. She was educated in Waterville schools and was employed by Lockwood Mills and Hathaway. In 1931, Cecile married the love of her life, Emile Pellerin; together they raised two daughters, Jeanne and Marlene. During their 54 years together, they were co-owners of Pellerin's Dairy. Together they spent 20 wonderful years of retirement, during which they traveled together and with friends to visit their daughter and family in New Mexico and Virginia and other states. Cecile was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Columbus Guild. She was a person with many talents -- a self-taught seamstress, flower gardener and interior decorator, and she enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. She always enjoyed and was so very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cecile resided with her daughter Jeanne and Gerard for three years before she became a resident of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home for one year. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Emile, in 1984; her daughter Marlene in 2004; brothers Tony, Leo and Lawrence Fortin; and a sister, Germaine Gagnon. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne and husband Gerard Bolduc; son in-law Joseph Stenger; sisters-in-law Florence Fortin, Louella Fortin and Carmeline Pellerin; her grandchildren, Mike Bolduc of New Hampshire, Anne Marie and Mike Violette of Waterville, Maria LaVerdiere of Waterville, Roger and Mandy Bolduc of Farmington, Maria Julie of Virginia, Drs. Al and Krista Stenger of Virginia, and Theresa of Virginia; her great-grandchildren, Jessica and Peter Violette of Waterville, Kaitlyn and Maddie Bolduc of New Hampshire, Emiley and Iris of Waterville, and Nathan and Erica of Farmington; a great-great-granddaughter, Veronika of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
