Born July 17, 1932 in Odin, she was the youngest child of William and Hattie (Frenzl) Klug of Odin. She married Larry McClure in 1961 and was a long-time resident of Wichita. Read More	WICHITA — Cecilia "Cec" McClure died Dec. 21 at Hutchinson Hospice House after a brave battle with kidney failure. Born July 17, 1932 in Odin, she was the youngest child of William and Hattie (Frenzl) Klug of Odin. She married Larry McClure in 1961 and was a long-time resident of Wichita. She worked for Edminston Oil company for 22 years and 16 years at Wesley Medical Center where she retired at age 75. She said working kept her young and involved in life. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita, but most often attended daily mass at the hospital chapel. Her faith gave her comfort and strength. Cec cherished her children, large family and friends. She was a wonderful mother who shared a lifetime special "best friend" bond with her daughter Kim and dedicated herself to the happiness of her special needs son, Doug. She enjoyed close relationships and gatherings with her large family of siblings, nieces and nephews. She treasured her many wonderful friends who brought her life great joy. She was a classy, petite, kind person who enjoyed life and was loved by many. She listened with her heart and offered comfort and encouragement to all who knew her. Cec was truly special and will always be remembered in our thoughts, actions and prayers. We are so grateful that God blessed our lives with her. Survivors include her daughter, Kim Wilson and husband Skip, of Hutchinson; son, Doug McClure of Wichita; and sister, Dottie Mayer of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by 13 siblings; and was loved by the families of Marie Beck, Helen Gerber, Teresa Meyeres, Hattie Stos, Odee Murphy, May Demel, Ann Demel, Joe Klug, Rose Jacobs, Ida Neises, Leo Klug, Eddie Klug and Red Klug. Three siblings died in their youth, and she lost an infant son at birth. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin, with Father Charles Mazouch as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with vigil at 6 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to the Boys and Girls Club of Hutchinson or the Holy Family Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
