Schilling, nee Pippinger, of Arizona, arrived in Clarence Monday and was taken to the home of Pink Hopper, until Tuesday, when the funeral services were held at the church north of Clarence. Schilling, wife of P. A. Schilling, entered into rest on Wednesday, Jan. 25th, 1899. She had been sick only a few days of Lagrippe and the end came quite unexpectedly, yet she was fully prepared for it by the grace of God in whom was all her trust. Mrs. Schilling was born in Shelby county, Mo., Aug. 23, 1866. Her maiden name was Celia R. Pippinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pippinger, of Hamilton, Ill. On the 18 of Feb. 1892, she was united in marriage to Mr. P. A. Schilling, who survives her and is bowed down with grief. She was faithful and loving companion, bearing all the troubles and toils with that patience, which only a fine christian woman can. A good neighbor, kind and attentive to the needs of the poor, true and devoted to her husband and church, she will be greatly missed. But a life so full of good works here secures a record above and leaves a fragrance of sweet and pleasant memories to those who knew and loved her. (She moved with her husband to Riverside, Arizona, Jan. 1, 1898 at which place they lived until the loving Father whispered to her "Come to the mansion prepared for thee." Her remains were brought to Clarence, Mo., and interred Jan. 31, 1899 in the family graveyard, five miles north of Clarence, after song and very appropriate prayer at the grave by I. J. Sheets. Mrs. Schilling united with the M. E. church at about the age of twelve years and has since led a quiet consistent christian life— adorning the doctrine of Her Savior in a godly walk. May her sorrowing husband, father, mother, three sisters and brother imitate her example in following the footstep of her Savior and at last meet as an unbroken family around the great White Throne — E.
