Description	:	Obit: Celestine Ardella "Sally" Warburton, 84, of Cherokee, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services were held Friday, April 23, 2010, at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee, Iowa, with Rev. Ethan Sayler officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, under direction of the Boothby Funeral Home. Mrs. Warburton was born September 5, 1925, in Washta, the daughter of Claude and Emma (Mahoney) Hollingshead. She graduated from Quimby High school in 1943. Sally received her nursing degree from Providence Hospital of Nursing in Everett, Washington. She married Marvin Warburton December 8, 1946, at Cleghorn. The couple farmed south of Cleghorn for 10 years, then farmed south of Cherokee for 27 years; moving to Cherokee in 1987. Sally moved to Sioux Falls to be near her family in 2007. She had worked as a nurse at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington, and was Charge Nurse in OB and Nursery at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee, for many years. She then worked as a nurse at Hilltop Care Center (now Careage Hills) until her retirement. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church and was involved in many church activities and social groups. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and was an avid sports fan of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin on December 31, 2001, her brother Forrest Hollingshead and a sister Thelma Hollingshead. Survivors include her three children: Sara Warburton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Dave Warburton of Earlham, Iowa; Lisa (Mrs. Al Lindgren) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
