She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah, and a son, Jude. Celestine was born to Alphonse and Ida Pickart Bange in Hartington, Neb., on March 24, 1922. She graduated from St. Michael's school in 1935, Norway High in 1939 and Mercy School of Nursing in 1944. She married Sylvester Schulte on Oct. 23, 1945, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, where she claimed lifelong membership. Until recently, she was active in several church ministries and the NCSF. Before her marriage she worked at a hospital in Anamosa and afterward, was employed for 11 years at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. This priceless gift of faith filled her life with meaning and purpose. The priceless gift of family love was was savored through the years.
