She died Saturday, May 16 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, Neb. She. was a member of the United Methodist Church Women at Whitney and a member of the American War Dads Auxiliary in Crawford. She was the daughter of Peter C. and Emma (Wilson) Galloway, born at McCann, Cherry County, Neb., on May 25, 1901. She grew up at McCan (sic), attended rural schools, and Gates Academy in Neligh. On May 1, 1920, at Kilgore, Neb., she was united by marriage with Frank Sonnenfelt. This couple farmed and ranched in Cherry County. In 1977 she married Lee Hallsted at Whitney. In 1981 she moved to Oakdale, where she resided until her death. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Sonnenfelt; one son, Robert Sonnenfelt; one daughter, Connie Sonnenfelt; and three grandsons. Her survivors include two sons, Cecil Sonnenfelt of Grand Island, and Richard Sonnenfelt of Oakland; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Sanderson, Mrs. Cliff (Dorothy) Soto, and Mrs. Ruth Ann Holland all of Oakland, and Mrs. Bud (Bonnie) Eatherton of Grand Island; 20 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; one brother, Ted Galloway of Hot Springs; one sister, Mrs. Joyce Stone of Casper, Wyo.; and other relatives and many friends. Huffmans Brooks Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
