Celia was born on April 9, 1922, in Oakfield, Maine, the daughter of the late Milo and Lillian (Jones) Richards. She married Walter Hewins and together they raised 13 children. She liked cooking, reading, playing cards and the game of Yahtzee. She spent hours knitting and teaching others how to knit. She really enjoyed doing word search and crossword puzzles. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Hewins; son, Vernon Hewins; daughter, Darlene Hewins; and siblings, Bill Jones, Odie Getchell, Edna Getchell, Buff Richards, Albert Richards and Faye Vanadestine.
