Description	:	Celia Quest (Brown) Keatts, 95, a lifelong resident of Garfield County, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018. Quest was born April 13, 1922, and was the descendant of Garfield County pioneers. She graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1939 and married Neil Burton Keatts on May 3, 1942. They were married almost 68 years, until Neil's death in 2010. Quest was a loving and dedicated farm wife and devoted mother to their three children, Nancy, Ray and Tom. Read More	Celia Quest (Brown) Keatts, 95, a lifelong resident of Garfield County, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018. Quest was born April 13, 1922, and was the descendant of Garfield County pioneers. She graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1939 and married Neil Burton Keatts on May 3, 1942. They were married almost 68 years, until Neil's death in 2010. Quest was a loving and dedicated farm wife and devoted mother to their three children, Nancy, Ray and Tom. Through the years, she was active in Camp Fire Girls and Job's Daughters while supporting her sons in Boy Scouts and Future Farmers of America. Quest wrote dozens of poems based upon life experiences and love of family. Whatever her current interest, she dived in and achieved a high level of success including cake decorating, knitting and sewing. The age of computers found her creating artful family greeting cards, life story books for friends when they celebrated a milestone birthday and signs for local events and organizations. Her love of history and family led Quest to genealogical research, and before the advent of online ancestry information, she developed family lines for several branches dating back to the 1600s. Volumes of data, photos, news articles and letters provide a legacy for future family generations. In their retirement, Quest and Neil were active volunteers and researchers for the Garfield County Museum and devoted many hours to that cause. In the role of local historian, Quest was often called upon to research information for family members of a past county resident. She and Neil were the designated Honored Pioneers in 1993. Quest was again an Honored Pioneer with brothers Elton Brown, Wayne Brown and Jimmie Brown (wife of brother Larry Brown) in 2014. Survivors names omitted per findagrave policy.
