Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of Robert Conrad of Garden Lots and Diane Dorey, First Peninsula. He received his education at Park View High School, Bridgewater and went on to pursue a music career. Read More	Chad Gilbert Conrad 1995 Halifax Chronicle Herald Chad Gilbert Conrad, 28, Garden Lots, died September 8, 1995, in Grand Cayman Islands, as the result of a car/pedestrian accident. Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of Robert Conrad of Garden Lots and Diane Dorey, First Peninsula. He received his education at Park View High School, Bridgewater and went on to pursue a music career. He started in his early years drumming and ended up singing in his own band, Crossroads. He was musically inclined, playing regularly at The Misty Moon, Atrium, and The Palace. He wanted to create his own album. He temporarily stopped playing music to become a master diver. He moved to Vancouver for a career in diving and at the time of his death was a master diver, teaching diving in Grand Cayman Islands. Surviving are his stepmother, Shirley, Garden Lots; his companion, Pat Quas, Vancouver; brother, Jason, Summerside; paternal grandmother, Margaret and her husband Bernard Conrad, Garden Lots; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Loralei; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Alice Dorey; paternal grandfather, Captian Gilbert Conrad. Funeral will be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association through Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg.
