Born Jan. 13, 1914, in Henry County, near Archbold, she was the daughter of Ephriam and Anna (Goldsmith) Rufenacht. In 1938, she married John Crossgrove, who died in 1962. A lifelong resident of. the area, she was a homemaker and worked in food service and housekeeping at Four County Joint Vocational School, Fairlawn Haven, Sauder Woodworking, and Sauder Village. She volunteered at Care & Share Thrift Shop and Wyse Commons and was a quilter at Sauder Village. She was a member of Central Mennonite Church, Mennonite Women and Golden Age Sewing of the church. Surviving are three sons, Ronald (Patricia), Wauseon; Roger (Mabelann), Archbold; and Robert (Ruth), Silver Springs, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ruth Ann) McQuillin and Mrs. James (RoseMary) Rupp, Archbold; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Central Mennonite Church. Jeffrey Smith, Randy Nafziger and Cliff Brubaker were the officiating pastors. Burial was in Pettisville Cemetery.
