Description	:	Charlene "Char" G. Arneson, age 62, of Lake Norden, SD, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the New Hope Lutheran Church, rural Hayti, SD with Pastor Randy Eisenbeisz officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday with the family present at Wight & Comes Funeral Home in Watertown. Burial will be in the New Hope Church Cemetery, rural Hayti, SD. Char Arneson was born on February 14, 1953 to William and Arlene (Hendren) McBrien, in Watertown SD. She grew up in Watertown, SD and graduated from Watertown High School in 1971. She married Tim C. Arneson on October 9, 1971 at First United Methodist Church in Watertown, SD. The couple lived in California, Arizona, rural Hayti, Watertown, and Lake Norden throughout their marriage. The couple owned and operated Arneson Electric Inc. where Char was currently a bookkeeper until her death. Char mostly enjoyed spending time with her three beautiful grandchildren, Curstie Visser, Megan and Jared Baloun. She was always excited to attend their many activities, and was so very proud of their many accomplishments. She also enjoyed riding on the Harley Davidson with Tim, going to Minnesota Vikings games, riding in their Corvette and spending time with her family and friends. She was grateful for her 43 years of marriage to her lifelong best friend and husband, Tim. Char is survived by her husband, Tim; her mother, Arlene McBrien of Watertown; two brothers, Ron (Barbara) McBrien of Watertown, SD, and Richard McBrien of Volga, SD; her two children, Jennifer (Bryan) Baloun of Rapid City, SD, and Jason Arneson (Teresa Bailly) of Hayti, SD; three grandchildren, Curstie Visser, Megan Baloun and Jared Baloun; her mother and father in law, Glenn and Judy Arneson of Hayti, SD; and many nieces and nephews. Char had a special place in her heart for Sandy Kerkvliet, who she considered a second daughter. She was preceded in death by her father, William McBrien, and her grandparents.
