Description	:	Charles A. Dworshak, 62, Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Bismarck, died July 27, 2006, after a short battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at St. Mary's Church, Bismarck. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Following the interment, a fellowship lunch will be served at the church. Charles was born Jan. 24, 1944, the son of Anton and Mary (Feist) Dworshak. He was raised and educated in Bismarck. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961, was stationed at West Berlin, Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1964. After returning to Bismarck, he worked at various jobs and owned and operated Front Avenue Service, at 12th Street. and Front Avenue, Bismarck, for a period of time. He married Carol F. Weixel on Nov. 12,1966. He re-enlisted in the Army in 1970 and again was stationed in West Berlin, Germany, where their first child, Teri, was born. After returning again to Bismarck in 1973, he worked for Modem Machine Works and joined the North Dakota Army National Guard. He also worked at various power plants as a painter. He later moved to California and worked at the nuclear power plant at San Luis Obispo and then in a metal works plant at San Bernadino. He moved to Clinton, Iowa, and worked at a recycling plant there, and then he moved to Washington state, working for a Purina dog-food factory. In 2000, he moved to Arizona, where he worked in the maintenance department for five years and then one year as a security guard at Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management, until his passing. He is survived by one daughter, Teri (Chris) Johnson, Vancouver, Wash.; one son, Charles Jr., Enumclaw, Wash.; three grandchildren, Jacob Dworshak and Andrew and Zachary Johnson; his parents, Anton and Mary; seven sisters, Kay Boesen, Waterloo, Iowa, Betty (Ron) Schuler, Glendale Ariz., Stella Dias, New Bedford, Mass., Pat (Roger) Klein, Bismarck, Shirley (Randy) Hochhalter, New Leipzig, Deb (Joe) Leingang, Tucson, Ariz., and Maria Serflaten, Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Kenneth (Karen) and Steven, both of Bismarck; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one brother, Gerald.
