Description	:	Funeral services for Charles A. Soesbe, 83, will be at 2pm Wednesday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating. There will be Masonic Rites at the Kotbra Funeral Home Tuesday evening. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion and rites by the IOOF Lodge. Mr. Soesbe was born Jan. 30, 1880 at Rock Rapids, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Gryvase Soesbe and died April 18 at the local hospital after a short illness. Mr. Soesbe was born Jan. 30, 1880 at Rock Rapids, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Gryvase Soesbe and died April 18 at the local hospital after a short illness. He had attended school at Academy and at South Dakota State University and homesteaded in Perkins County before moving to the Dixon area in 1914. He served in World War I. On Oct. 2, 1920 he married Alta Holbert. He was a 56 year member of the Masonic Lodge, a 52 year member of the American Legion, and a member of the IOOF Lodge, the Rosebud Rebekah Lodge, and Rosebud Barracks. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Orvil (Lois) Parlet, Trona, Calif., and Mrs. Bernard (Darlene) Genzlinger, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Edward, Torrance, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Frank, Gregory; and two sisters, Mrs. Maud Jager, and Miss June Soesbe, Winner. He was preceded in death by a daughter, one brother, and one sister.
