Read More	OBITUARY: East Liverpool Evening Review, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., OH. Thursday, 16 Sep 1909, pg. 8. Charles A. Fowler. Charles A. Fowler, aged 57 years, one of East Liverpool's most widely known and highly respected business men, dropped dead yesterday afternoon in his confectionery store on Avondale street. His sudden death was due to heart trouble caused from blood poisoning of which he had been suffering for a year. During the past year he has not been in the best of health as the blood trouble gave him untold pain, but yesterday he was feeling in the best of health and attending to his business in the store in the usual manner, exhibiting unusual good spirits. He left his home on Cadmus street to attend to some important business in his store. After reaching the store he became suddenly ill and fell to the floor, calling his daughter who was in the room at the time, to catch him. His daughter came to his assistance but he died within a few minutes after she reached his side. Mr. Fowler is one of the most prominent business men in East Liverpool, having been engaged in the confectionery business for the past 30 years. He was born in Hancock county, W.Va, in 1852, coming to this city at about age of 20, was employed in one of the local potteries until 1885, when he embarked in the confectionery business with a store on Second street, later removing his store to East Sixth street, where he remained until he removed to his present location on Avondale street. The deceased is survived by his wife and four children, John W., Bertie M., Pearl E., and Eva all at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive, Samuel W. Fowler, Zadok Fowler, Mrs. Daniel Paully and Miss May B. Fowler, all of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Harry Weaver, of Sebring. The funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. Dimitt pastor of the First Methodist Protestant church will have charge of the services. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the home on Cadmus street this evening from 7 to 10 o'clock.
