Description	:	Charles Arthur Eppley, the oldest son of Josiah and Lanah Eppley, was born March 19, 1868, in Peru, Ind. He departed this life June 18, 1953 at LeRoy, Kan. He had been in poor health for several years. The family moved to Kansas in 1876 and lived in Hutchinson for one year then moved to Kingman in 1877. Two brothers preceded him in death. On August 29, 1889 he was married to Clara Sudlow of Kingman and they lived on a farm near Rago, Kan. To this union five children, all of whom survive,... Read More	Charles Arthur Eppley, the oldest son of Josiah and Lanah Eppley, was born March 19, 1868, in Peru, Ind. He departed this life June 18, 1953 at LeRoy, Kan. He had been in poor health for several years. The family moved to Kansas in 1876 and lived in Hutchinson for one year then moved to Kingman in 1877. Two brothers preceded him in death. On August 29, 1889 he was married to Clara Sudlow of Kingman and they lived on a farm near Rago, Kan. To this union five children, all of whom survive, were born. They are Floyd Eppley of St. John, Kan.; Glenn Eppley of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Alice Switser and Mrs. Edna Messinger and Everett Eppley of Wichita. The family later moved to Hartford and then to LeRoy where they spent the greater part of their married life. Mr and Mrs. Eppley celebrated their golden wedding in LeRoy in 1939 and were married nearly 64 years at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his wife and his children, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. R.R. Wallace of Kingman, and Mrs. C.E. Shepherd of Hartford. He was a devoted and kind father and husband and will be greatly missed by the family and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at the LeRoy Methodist Church and burial will be at Kingman.
