Whitson, of Hackney died quite suddenly Tuesday evening at his home. Mr. Whitson had been in apparently good health until yesterday evening when he suffered a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Whitson had been in apparently good health until yesterday evening when he suffered a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Whitson is a well known citizen of this county, having resided near Hackney for a number of years. Charles B. Whitson was born in The state of Kentucky, February 12th, 1856 and died March 15th, 1921. March 2, 1879, he was married to Dessie J. Williams, and to this union was born one son E.L. Whitson. In his early married life he was converted and untied with the Hackney Baptist church and was baptised by Rev. Wilbur, who was pastor at that time. He is survived by his wife and one son, E.L. Whitson and a foster son, Eugene Brown, who has made his home with the Whitson's since early childhood. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at the Hackney church with Rev. R.S. Sargent in charge. Interment will be made in the Hackney cemetery. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
